Award presentation
Twenty business students have been initiated into the McNeese State University chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma Scholastic Business Honor Society.

Presentation of award
The McNeese State University Banners Cultural Series has received the statewide Outstanding Arts Organization of the Year Award, presented by Lt. Gov. Jay Dardenne and the Louisiana Office of Cultural Development.

Mr. and Miss McNeese
McNeese State University students Andrew Armand, a nursing senior from Lake Charles, and Sara Dupre, a mass communication senior from Grand Lake, have been selected as Mr. McNeese and Miss McNeese on the 2014 Spring Court.

Student Employee Finalists
Sarah Lowdon, a student employee who works in the Recreation Complex, was named the McNeese 2014 Student Employee of the Year. Lowdon and five other student employees were recognized Tuesday, April 15, during the annual program.

Award Winners
Six McNeese State University faculty members are recipients of the 2014 Pinnacle Excellence Awards to recognize outstanding faculty achievement in each of the McNeese colleges.

Brask Inc. recently donated $15,000 through the McNeese State University Foundation to establish the Brask Inc. Engineering Scholarship in the College of Engineering.

A free screening of the 2008 Norwegian film, “Troubled Water,” will be presented at 7 p.m. Friday, April 25, at the Central School Arts and Humanities Center by Calcasieu Cinema International.

Recital performers
The McNeese State University Department of Performing Arts will present a free faculty/guest recital at 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 14, in Ralph Squires Recital Hall in Shearman Fine Arts Center.

Cast of Theatre Musical Review
The McNeese State University Theatre Bayou Players will present “a blast from the past” as its season finale – selections from 75 years of musical productions performed at McNeese to celebrate the university’s Diamond Anniversary.
