Boudin‘s 2026 Pride issue received our third highest amount of submissions ever, and over three times as many submissions as we received for last year’s Pride issue! Our numbers tell me that our Pride issue is not just important, but needed. Pride is necessary in today’s world. The phrase, “in today’s world,” may seem like a cliché most frequently stumbled upon in a freshman essay, but it is true.
Above all else, however, the increase in submissions tells me that this is a wonderful celebration. Robbie Hess, our Pride guest editor for the second year in a row, has selected work that is important. Needed. Necessary. I can’t thank him enough for his dedication to Boudin and to this issue. Thank you to all contributing to this necessary celebration.
