Boudin, in my eyes, represents opportunity. McNeese MFA students have the opportunity to guest edit an issue from start to finish: they craft the CFS, make the selections, build the issue in WordPress, and handle everything in between. With those carefully-chosen calls-for-submission, Boudin opens an opportunity to create a dialog, to join a cultural conversation. This month’s Pride issue is a timely one, and poet Robbie Hess has compiled work that is beautiful, heart-breaking, and very important.
I am thankful, and yes, proud, that Boudin can offer these small steps of progression. I hope you enjoy the read.
