Blooms in Dusk, indeed!
I write this a few hours after my last graduate workshop of the year, a beautiful one of hurrahs and goodbyes. My second year on the bayou has eclipsed the first, which I didn’t think possible. But the beauties of my job are also the fleeting; these marvelous students who graduate and leave us and go out into the world to spread their brilliance elsewhere.
This issue of Boudin is dedicated to Katelynn Adrian, Bob Miller, Jake Snyder, Ben Watson, and Meilyn Woods, McNeese MFA’s 2025 graduates who are about to take the writing world by storm, and to first-year MFAer Jade, for putting together a marvelous issue and who I’m delighted has a few more years with us at McNeese before she graduates.
