Letter from the Guest Editor
Abbie Skinner
__________
I’m baaaack…
It has been an absolute honor and privilege to return from the great beyond (aka post-graduation) to guest edit this haunting third edition of “Boo”din. In this “Creature Feature” edition. I hope you will find poems and stories that encapsulate all that is creepy and unsettling in the Halloween season but also the simple fun of a good fright. I am thrilled to award the first ever “Skinner Prize” to “Monsters” by Michelle Holland, a poem that I feel captures the tension in the fun and the fear when facing down the quintessential monster.
Readers be warned, there are monsters ahead. Happy Hauntings!
P.S. Please enjoy the accompanying photo of five-year-old me dressed as discount Sailor Moon.
