(March 3, 2015) McNeese State University’s Annual Juried Student Exhibition is currently on display in the mezzanine of the Grand Gallery of the Shearman Fine Arts Center Annex through April 2.
Thirty-nine student works from over 200 entries were selected for the exhibition by juror Christopher Troutman, assistant professor of art at Lamar State University in Beaumont, Texas. The exhibition features printmaking, ceramics, painting, bookarts, photography, graphic design and 3-dimensional designs.
Students selected for Merit Awards have been announced in the following areas: Jeremy Price, Lake Charles, ceramics and printmaking; Alex Landry, Lake Charles, drawing; Kinleigh Guidry, Basile, foundations design; Sydney Thomas, Kinder, graphic arts; Katie Daniels, Sulphur, painting; and Victoria Ridgway, Vinton, photography.
