A poem<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">of loss and longing and curse words and a girl<br>named Natasha. I love that poem<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">for its messiness, an ice-cream sundae of a poem,<br>pistachio melting, hot fudge dripping<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">down the sides of the glass. A poem<br>mixing everything\u2014a fucking kitchen sink of a poem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The world is a mess<br>and the cleaning crew is out to lunch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The world. It\u2019s a cat<br>and we\u2019re its mouse. It tosses us up and up<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">emboldened by our squeals. We drop. We fall.<br>And then our hearts stop\u2014game over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Fuck me. Fuck you.<br>Fuck Natasha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">But what about the cat?<br>Sunning by the window, dreaming<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">cat dreams of bothering birds? Sometimes,<br>mice burrow under blankets of hay. Sometimes,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">the world holds us gently. Makes love to us.<br>Plants its seed,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">watches us bloom.<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The world is like that too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>___________<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:25px\"><strong>The Journey Begins\u2014Again<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">He holds a pale pink rose. Carries<br>his burdens in burlap. Where bread<br>once rose golden\u2014<br><br>the oven\u2019s cool racks<br>now bare.
