Founded in 1948, The McNeese Review<\/em> is an annual publication of the College of Liberal Arts, the Department of English and Foreign Languages, and the MFA in Creative Writing<\/a> at McNeese State University<\/a>, Lake Charles, Louisiana. Funding is provided by the McNeese State University Foundation through an endowment established by Mr. and Mrs. William D. Blake, Mrs. Violet Howell, and Howell Industries, Inc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2012, after 64 years as a scholarly journal in the arts, humanities, and social sciences,The McNeese Review<\/em> was converted to a literary journal format to publish poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2018, we launched Boudin<\/em>, “the spicy online cousin of The McNeese<\/em> Review<\/em>,” which is now a seperate monthly publication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

McNeese MFA candidates staff both The McNeese Review<\/em> and Boudin<\/em> and play a major role in selecting work and producing each issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The editor of The McNeese Review<\/em> is Michael Robins<\/a>, who leads the poetry program at McNeese. The editor of Boudin<\/em> is Dr. Lynn Watson<\/a>, who leads the fiction program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
