(our non-traditional and transfer student orientation) is a shortened version of orientation provided for students who may not need the rigorous two-day experience provided at Cowboy Camp sessions. <strong>To be eligible for this orientation option, a student must be:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Enrolling at the University for the first time in the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">sprin<\/span>g term<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A first-time freshman who is age 21 or older <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">before<\/span> <\/strong>the start of their first semester<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A transfer student coming to McNeese with (non-dual enrollment) credits completed and accepted from a previous institution<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A current McNeese student needing orientation credit to fulfill degree requirements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Even though it is condensed, this orientation model still provides students with essential information necessary to prepare them for a successful career as McNeese students. Foundational information is provided, and there is an opportunity for expanded knowledge shared in optional extended breakouts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Register for a Non-Traditional\/ Transfer Student Orientation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Orientation sessions last approximately 3 hours. There are morning sessions (AM) and evening sessions (PM) available.<strong><mark class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\"> Students are required to completely attend a session to receive orientation credit.<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-fill\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-text-color has-background wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/forms.office.com\/r\/bsqQhW0HPP\" style=\"color:#ffd620;background-color:#00487f\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Click here to register for a session<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-3089e4303ef35119d516b7ccdaa8d104\" style=\"color:#f30f0f\"><strong>Attending T.R.A.I.L. is one step toward fulfilling your ORIN101 credit; completing the required Vector trainings is also necessary to meet the requirement in full. For January orientation dates, the trainings will be available during the spring semester, and for summer orientation dates, the trainings will be available during the fall semester.
