NPHC Shared Standards
National representatives from each of the "divine nine" organizations comprised a set of standards applicable to all NPHC councils and undergraduate chapters represented within:
- Continue the promotion of academic excellence.
- Demonstrate the values of NPHC, affiliate organizations, and host institutions.
- Develop leadership skills.
- Develop positive supportive relationships.
- Develop citizenship through community service and outreach.
Each standard has several sub principles to support the main goal. For a complete list of the NPHC Shared Standards visit National Pan-Hellenic Council, Incorporated .

"One Unified Vision"
NPHC IntakeEach NPHC organization typically accepts new members at least once and sometimes twice per academic year. Dates for intake are determined by mandates set forth from each group's national office. This is why the processes are done separately and according each organization's schedule. In an effort to promote NPHC Greeks as a unified entity prior to being recognized as individual groups, the council conducts a NPHC Caucus (joint interest meeting) at the beginning of the fall semester for persons interested in NPHC organizations. Individuals interested and/or wanting to join a NPHC group are expected to attend. Groups conduct interest meetings only after they have fully participated in a caucus.
