SPRING 2019 “ENGAGE TRACK”
(for First-Time Students)What is the “Engage Track”?: To fully receive credit for attending orientation, you are required to attend a designated number of engagement programs. These programs have been especially selected for first-time students as a way to connect you to the University and its many resources and opportunities.
The spring 2019 track is for returning students that have not completed the requirement in a previous semester and newly enrolled first-time freshmen students that are just starting at McNeese.
You will need to have an active McNeese Engage account to be tracked. Visit https://mcneese.campuslabs.com/engage and use your McNeese Portal credentials to log in.
If you will be a first-time freshmen in summer 2019 or fall 2019, your Engage Track will be announced at a later date.
To receive credit for freshmen orientation, you must attend 2 of the 5 possible programs.

PLEASE READ PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENT STRUCTURE BELOW!
- Full attendance – These programs have a start and end time. Participants are expected to be present for the extent of the program. Most programs run for approximately 60-90 minutes.
- Limited attendance – For these programs, you are not required to be present for the extent, but will be expected to check-in during the window of time specified. You will complete a punch card/ sign-in sheet to validate your participation. On average, this will take an estimated 20-30 minutes to complete.
Please have your McNeese ID at each program. It will be scanned to confirm your attendance.
“WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON’T PARTICIPATE?”
If you do not complete the required number of programs by the end of the Engage Track, you will receive an “I” or Incomplete grade assessment for orientation. You also may be forced to re-enroll in the Freshmen Orientation course, which will increase your fee bill for subsequent semesters.
