{"id":13772,"date":"2021-11-06T14:05:19","date_gmt":"2021-11-06T19:05:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mcneese.edu\/performingarts\/?post_type=faculty_staff&#038;p=13772"},"modified":"2025-09-24T12:16:59","modified_gmt":"2025-09-24T17:16:59","slug":"timothy-pardue","status":"publish","type":"faculty_staff","link":"https:\/\/www.mcneese.edu\/performingarts\/directory\/timothy-pardue\/","title":{"rendered":"Dr. Timothy Pardue"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Dr. Tim&nbsp;Pardue<\/strong>&nbsp;is&nbsp;the director of bands in the W.A.&nbsp;and Dorothy&nbsp;Hanna Department of Performing Arts at McNeese State University where he directs&nbsp;the&nbsp;Pride of McNeese Marching Band, conducts the McNeese Wind Symphony, and teaches&nbsp;music education and&nbsp;conducting. He completed his Doctor of Musical Arts degree in wind conducting at the University of Oklahoma and holds a Master of Music degree in wind conducting from the University of Arkansas and Bachelor of Music Education degree from the Louisiana Tech University.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pardue is an active&nbsp;arranger&nbsp;and clinician. He has&nbsp;arranged&nbsp;for The Pride of Oklahoma and Razorback Marching Band. His&nbsp;most&nbsp;recent arranging project was a collaboration with composer Victoria Bond, creating a chamber setting of her work,&nbsp;<em>The Indispensable Man: A Roosevelt Portrait<\/em>. Pardue&nbsp;conducted and premiered&nbsp;this work&nbsp;with the University of Oklahoma Wind&nbsp;Symphony&nbsp;in April 2021.&nbsp;Pardue has presented his research on flexible scoring as a means to provide quality repertoire to small band programs&nbsp;with limited instrumentation.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to pursuing graduate studies, Pardue taught middle and high school bands in St. James and Plaquemines parishes.&nbsp;He&nbsp;holds professional memberships&nbsp;in the College Band Director National Association,&nbsp;Tau Beta Sigma,&nbsp;and&nbsp;Kappa&nbsp;Kappa&nbsp;Psi.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":14072,"parent":0,"menu_order":13,"template":"","departments":[27,24],"class_list":["post-13772","faculty_staff","type-faculty_staff","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","departments-band","departments-music"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.mcneese.edu\/performingarts\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/faculty_staff\/13772","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.mcneese.edu\/performingarts\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/faculty_staff"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.mcneese.edu\/performingarts\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/faculty_staff"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.mcneese.edu\/performingarts\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/14072"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.mcneese.edu\/performingarts\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=13772"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"departments","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.mcneese.edu\/performingarts\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/departments?post=13772"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
