The program is part of the spring Faculty/Guest Recital Series hosted by the department.
The harp-duo performance will feature works by J.S. Bach, Georges Bizet, Johannes Brahms, Patrick S. Gilmore, Franz Joseph Haydn, Skaila Kanga, Guillaume de Machaut, Turlough O’Carolan, Louise Trotter and Karl Wienand.
Belew, a retired McNeese associate professor of music, is a graduate of Hardin-Simmons University and Indiana University. At McNeese, she taught piano and harp, as well as courses in pedagogy and literature of the two instruments. She has directed harp ensembles for both McNeese and the Louisiana chapter of the American Harp Society and has played harp with the Lake Charles Symphony. She is director of the summer McNeese harp camp.
Horvath, of Moss Bluff, is a McNeese graduate, president of the AHS Louisiana chapter and assistant director of the summer harp camp.
