McNeese to host mental health conference

The Lake Area Mental and Behavioral Health Conference will be held Thursday, Oct. 9, and Friday, Oct. 10, in Farrar Hall at McNeese State University.
           
Among the topics to be covered at the conference are autism, mental health stigma, health and psychology, and counseling ethics.
           
This conference is a collaborative effort between the McNeese Autism Program, the Kay Doré Counseling Clinic at McNeese and the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Southwest Louisiana.
           
Fees are $100 for licensed professional counselors who want to earn continuing education units and $50 for students, professionals and other community members.
