IRE serves as the clearinghouse for institutional reporting, both mandatory and non-mandatory, for McNeese State University. We accomplish this through timely completion of external collection processes that include agencies such as the Louisiana Board of Regents, University of Louisiana System, US News and World Report, and the US Department of Education.

We also publish facts and figures to multiple channels via web systems, dashboards, fact sheets, etc.

We also respond to internal and external data requests.

The Louisiana Legislature passed House Concurrent Resolution 69 in the 2011 Legislative Session, replacing House Concurrent Resolution 197 of 2010. House Concurrent Resolution 69 urges and requests “each public institution of postsecondary education to report annually certain information to the House Committee on Education and the Senate Committee on Education and on its website.”

The Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008 (HEOA) requires universities participating in federal student aid programs to make certain disclosures to enrolled and prospective students, parents, employees, and the public.
