Your design could be seen by millions of visitors to Southwest Louisiana! Submit artwork that can be adapted to decorate industrial containers like the examples above and you will qualify to win a cash prize.
This contest is open to any McNeese State University student in good academic and judicial standing with the University.

Design Specifications

Use one or more of the photographs at art contest
Hand draw or use a digital illustration program for your design on the container.

Emailed files should be no larger than 12mb and saved as a jpg or pdf at 300 dpi or better.

This contest is for design only. Area industry representatives reserve the right to select designs they feel appropriate for their facilities.

How to Enter

Artwork may be submitted electronically via email or in person. Digital entries are encouraged.
Hard copy artwork or artwork on CD should be hand delivered to the Public Relations Office located in the Old Ranch near the Holbrook Computer Lab.
All entries must include the student's name, classification and phone number and email address.

Reproduction Rights

Artists agree to assign all copyrights for the artwork selected for use by area industrial facilities. Entries must be original in concept and work and not violate any artist or copyright laws.


All entries will be reviewed by a panel of judges selected by the Office of the President. Designs will be judged based on artistic merit, creativity and adaptability for future use. The top 20 designs will be submitted to a panel of representatives from area industrial facilities. They will select the first, second and third place winners.  Winners will be notified by email or phone and awards presented at a reception scheduled for Dec. 6

Cash Awards

First Place--$500 and public recognition
Second Place-- $300 and public recognition
Third Place-- $200 and public recognition


Artwork must be received by 4:30 p.m. November 9, 2012.
