McNeese State University is pleased to host a workshop featuring Joe Bontke, with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. The EEOC works to educate and promote equality of opportunity, enforcement of laws, and prohibiting employment discrimination to assist businesses in providing a fair and inclusive workplace.
Mr. Bontke is the outreach manager and ombudsman for the Houston District Office of U.S. EEOC. A 27 year career in Human Resources and Civil Rights, Mr. Bontke has experience in employment law and adult education.
Mr. Bontke will be presenting and discussing workplace bullying and recent court cases related to employment discrimination including those related to the Americans with Disabilities Act and information regarding the rights of transgender employees.
Registration to attend the workshop is required. Seating is limited, please register as soon as possible.
