In this lesson, students will continue to analyze diction and character in “A Worn Path,” an allegory that teaches about life as a journey. Today they will focus on locating motifs that create patterns or contrasts in the story. Students will express in writing a short paragraph about how an author uses patterns of language to create meaning.
