Biennial Review

Institutions of higher education are required to be in compliance with the Drug-Free Schools and Campuses Mandate (Edgar 86) as a condition of receiving federal funds or any form of financial assistance under any federal program. Institutions of Higher Education must certify that they have adopted and implemented a program to prevent the unlawful possession, use, or distribution of illicit drugs and alcohol by students and employees.
Additionally, institutions of higher education must conduct Biennial Reviews, as mandated in 1990 by the Drug Free Schools and Campuses Act, as a means to identify strengths and areas of growth regarding our current compliance with these federal regulations.
