Student Union Board wins regional awards

SUB awards

McNeese State University's Student Union Board received two awards at the 2011 South Central Regional Conference of the Association for the Promotion of Campus Activities in Corpus Christi, Texas.

McNeese's SUB won Program Board of the Year and Program of the Year for its Spring Fling Crawfish Boil 2011 event programming. SUB also won several awards in the graphics competition including: onsite banner competition, first place; printed advertisement competition, second place; and T-shirt design competition, third place.
APCA is a national campus activities organization that services the needs of campus programming departments like SUB, Student Government Associations, leadership development programs and other campus organizations throughout the United States. There are five regions and over 200 member schools in the organization. As regional winners, SUB will now compete against the four other regions at the national conference in March at Jacksonville, Fla.

SUB staff members are: Danielle Morrissey, Moss Bluff, president; Miloban Correa, Ecuador, South America, vice president; Desire'e Burnett, Leesville, traditions coordinator; Lemontre' Woods, Monroe, spirit/lagniappe coordinator; Andrew Armand, Lake Charles, co-curricular/cultural coordinator; Megan Anderson, Alexandria, public relations/marketing coordinator; Colten Miller, Lake Charles, public relations/marketing coordinator; and Bianca King, Welsh, liaison/member rewards coordinator.
