McNeese to hold Behavior Workshop

McNeese to hold Behavior Workshop

A workshop for parents on how to manage problem behaviors of children with developmental disorders will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. May 9 in Baker Auditorium of Farrar Hall at McNeese State University.

The workshop - sponsored by the McNeese Autism Program through the Psychology Department - will teach the skills parents need to maximize the kind of behavior they want to encourage and minimize the difficult or defiant behavior.

These techniques will help make parents more confident, calm, consistent and successful when interacting with their children and also help the children develop the skills they need to regulate their own behavior and improve relationships with their families, teachers and peers.

Registration is $25 per person and pre-registration is requested. For more information or to register, contact the McNeese Autism Program at 337-562-4246.
