Counseling services for persons with High-Functioning Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, or a similar diagnosis include:
  • Individual counseling (children and adults)
  • Family counseling
  • Couples counseling (adults)
Counseling services for persons with family members with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Asperger’s Syndrome, or a similar diagnosis include:
  • Individual counseling (children and adults)
  • Family counseling
  • Couples counseling (adults)
Common issues that co-occur with Autism Spectrum Disorder include:
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Poor coping skills
  • Poor stress management
  • Issues regarding transitions into different life changes (marriage, divorce, death, school, career, etc.)
Common issues experienced by family members:
  • Feelings of helplessness
  • Feelings of hopelessness
  • Time management issues
  • Marriage/ relationship concerns
  • Anger/ resentment
  • Grief
  • Stress due to:
    • Diagnosis
