{"id":5145,"date":"2019-11-22T20:36:59","date_gmt":"2019-11-22T20:36:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mcneese.edu\/admissions\/?page_id=5145"},"modified":"2025-06-10T12:55:09","modified_gmt":"2025-06-10T17:55:09","slug":"visiting-students","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.mcneese.edu\/admissions\/visiting-students\/","title":{"rendered":"Visiting Students"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\t<p>Learn how to become part of the McNeese family.<\/p>\n<h2>\n\t\t\tVisiting Overview\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>If you&#8217;re pursuing a degree at another college or university but are interested in taking classes at McNeese and transferring those credits to your home institution, you&#8217;re considered a visiting student.<\/p>\n\t<p>Note: Before you start the application process, make sure meet admission requirements.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"\/admissions\/requirements\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<strong>Admission <\/strong>Requirements\n\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t<p>It&#8217;s important to note that, as a visiting student, your enrollment is limited to the term your application is approved for, and you are not eligible for financial aid since you are not considered degree-pursuing student at McNeese. If you want to transfer to McNeese, you will have to meet the <a href=\"\/admissions\/requirements\/\">admission requirements<\/a> and <a href=\"\/admissions\/undergrad-students\/#undergrad-tabs-2\">apply as a transfer student<\/a>.<\/p>\n\t<h4><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/h4>\n<label for=\"app_dropdown\">To attend as a visiting student, it&#8217;s as easy as applying for admission.<\/label><br \/>\n[toolboxtwig twigtemplate=&#8221;domestic_application_urls&#8221; fieldname=&#8221;dom_application_urls&#8221; default_label=&#8221;Select Application Year&#8221;][\/toolboxtwig]\n<h5><strong>After You Appy<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h5>\n Pay a nonrefundable $20 application fee after you receive notification that your application has been processed.<br \/>\n Submit Proof of Immunization Compliance Form<br \/>\n (Males ages 18-25) Submit a copy of your draft card.<br \/>\n <strong>(Optional)<\/strong> Apply for financial aid and scholarships at <a href=\"https:\/\/fafsa.gov\">fafsa.gov<\/a>.
