Summer exercise classes are starting!  Schedules will be posted in the Rec Complex  or can be found at www.mcneese.edu/wellness. The summer fitness classes will start on June 13th.  Check the class schedule on our website for summer class times and start dates.  Class include: Yoga, Fitness Express, & Water Fitness.  Classes held during lunch time (11am-1pm) are free for McNeese employees.  There is no charge for McNeese students to attend the classes.  Would you like to teach exercise classes for the Rec?  If you have a fitness certification or experience teaching, contact Kelly Darbonne at 475-5277. Rec Complex--Check the exercise class schedule for exact locations in the Rec.

Register for the Curb Your Cravings Summer Challenge! The type of food that you eat can affect your energy, mood, & overall health.  Food cravings are pretty common.  During this challenge, you will learn what makes cravings strike and how to curb them to leave you feeling your best!   The challenge will include a "Curb Your Cravings" seminar, weekly nutritional goal setting related to your cravings, and handouts & tips to help curb those cravings.    Program runs June 20th-July 17th.  Open to all McNeese employees and students. Register in the Wellness Program Office     (Rec 212) or by sending an email to wellness@mcneese.edu during the registration dates.
6/20/2016 Curb Your Cravings Summer Challenge Begins! Challenge participants set your Week One goal to get started today!  This challenge runs 4 weeks and ends on July 17th.

Curb Your Cravings Seminar Kristie Evans, CHRISTUS St. Patrick registered dietician, will be here to discuss what makes food cravings strike and how you can curb those cravings to leave you feeling your best.  This seminar is open to all McNeese employees and students. La Jeunesse Room (Old Ranch)
Year Round Smoking Cessation Program A Smoking Cessation Program is available to McNeese employees, their famililes, and students through the Lousiana Smoking Cessation Trust.  Dr. Corey Foster, a local cardiologist, is a local provider for the program.  The program is FREE to those who started smoking before September 1, 1988 and are currently a Louisiana resident.  There is a $150 fee for those that don't meet the free requirements.  The program includes visits with Dr. Foster, a personalized plan to quit smoking, smoking cessation medications if needed, support and counseling. Summer 2016 Wellness to Go Program Our Wellness Program will be on the move this summer.  Get your blood pressure checked, pick up wellness information, & get healthy recipes. Locations to be announced soon!  Contact Kelly if you'd like to bring the Wellness Program to your department.
