Class Descriptions

Yoga (Starts 8/22)

A class that will help you to increase flexibility, cope with stress and learn basic meditation techniques. Beginner's are welcome!
Instructor: Dr. Elizabeth Hait.
Held in the Aerobics room.

Fitness Express (Starts 8/29)

Get fit in less time! This 30 minute class will provide a strength and cardio workout. This class will be done in a circuit format which involves moving from one exercise to another, each exercise working a different muscle group to achieve a full body workout. It will include cardio stations and strength training stations using bodywieght, resistance bands, medicine balls and dumbbells. Suitable for any fitness level.
Instructor: Kelly Darbonne.
Held on the Rec's track.

Water Fitness (Starts 9/6)

This class will increase flexibility, tone muscles and provide some aerobic benefits. The format of the class includes stretching, walking, and other locomotor skills, the use of kickboards, fins, and jug activities.
Instructor: Pat Pickett.
Held in the Rec's Pool.

Core N More (Starts 8/23)

This class will help to build a stronger abdomen and back by using exercises like planks, bridges, crunches, and more. Stretching exercises will also be incorporated as we tone up this group of muscles that are important in everyday life.
Instructor: Jade Hernandez.
Held in the Rec's aerobics room.

Power Sculpt (Starts 8/22)

This class will combine resistance training with a few plyometric movements to engage your muscles and joints to work through a full range of motion, allowing you to get stronger! You will learn how to properly perform full body exercises to prevent injury and optimize your strength.
Instructor: Jade Hernandez.
Held in the Rec's aerobics room.

Dance Fit (Starts 9/6) New Class!

Have fun moving to music and improving your fitness with this cardio class. Get your heart rate up dancing to different styles of music. Great for any fitness level.
Instructor: Rachel Stevenson.
Held in the Rec's aerobics room.
**Classes that are held at lunch time (11:30am-1pm) are free for employees to attend. Employess that attend classes that are after 1pm require a Rec membership. Students pay a Rec fee in their tuition, so there are no additional charges to attend the exercise classes on the fitness schedule.**
