2015 Summer Fitness Schedule
Yoga (Starts 6/8) A class that will help you to increase flexibility, cope with stress and learn basic meditation techniques. Beginner's are welcome! Instructor: Dr. Elizabeth Hait. Held in the Aerobics room.
Water Fitness (Starts 6/9) *This class will be held in deep water until late spring. Paricipants must be able to swim.* This class will increase flexibility, tone muscles and provide aerobic benefits. The format of the class includes stretching, walking, and other locomotor skills, the use of kickboards and fins, and jug activities. Instructor: Pat Pickett. Held in the Rec's pool.
Circuits (Starts 6/8) Please note the Wednesday class will start on 6/17. This class involves moving from one exercise to another, each exercise working a different muscle group until each muscle has been worked. It will include strength training stations, cardio stations or a mixture of the two. Suitable for any fitness level. Short on time? Just perform the circuit once during the class for a quick, 30 minute workout. Instructor: Kelly Darbonne. Held in the Rec's weight room on Monday & Friday and on the Rec's track on Wednesdays.
Zumba (Starts 6/8) Enjoy a fun dance workout while enjoying Latin rhythms running through your body. Instructor: Jordan Mars. Held in the aerobics room.
Body Sculpting (Starts 6/9) Sculpt and tone your muscles using a variety of exercises and equipment. Suitable for any fitness leve. Instructor: Alex Davis. Held in the aerobics room.
Cardio Blast (Starts 6/9) A fun class that will burn calories and keep you moving with energetic music. Instructor: Alex Davis. Held in the aerobics room.
**Classes that are held at lunch time (11:30am-1pm) are free for employees to attend. Classes that are after 1pm require a Rec membership. Students pay a Rec fee in their tuition, so there are no additional charges to attend the exercise classes on the fitness schedule.**
