Visual Arts to Host High School Portfolio Day

(March 12, 2015) The McNeese State University Department of Visual Arts will host High School Portfolio Day 2015 for junior and senior high school students from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, March 21, in the Shearman Fine Arts Annex.
           
Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the Grand Gallery and tours will be available for students, parents and teachers.
           
Students are also invited to bring their art portfolios of no more than 10 images and/or sketchbooks for visual arts faculty to review for award consideration. Students can pre-register to receive assigned review appointments by contacting event coordinator, Lisa Reinauer, at lreinauer@mcneese.edu.
           
Seniors receiving merit certificates will be recommended by the department to receive a Distinguished Achievement Award in Art, with awards ranging in value up to $500 if they enroll at McNeese in visual arts and meet eligibility guidelines.
