McNeese to host High School Portfolio Day

The McNeese State University Department of Visual Arts will host this spring's High School Portfolio Day 2013 for junior and senior high school art students from 9 a.m.-noon March 23 in the Abercrombie Gallery, located in Room 125 of the Shearman Fine Arts Center.  

Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. in Abercrombie and tours will be available for students, parents and teachers.

Students are invited to bring their art portfolios of no more than 10 images and/or sketchbooks for visual arts faculty to review for award consideration.  

Seniors receiving merit certificates will be recommended by the department to receive a Distinguished Achievement Award in Art, with cash awards ranging in value up to $500 if they enroll at McNeese in visual arts and meet eligibility guidelines.
