McNeese Arts Brief

(August 25, 2015) McNeese State University art professor, Heather Ryan Kelley, has had work from her Midden Heap Project published in the current issue of the James Joyce Broadsheet, which is published by the University of Leeds in England. One of her collages was featured on the cover along with three more pieces inside the issue.

Kelley’s Midden Heap Project was supported by the Louisiana Board of Regents ATLAS (Awards to Louisiana Artists and Scholars) program.

She has also had three works selected from her maze book, "doubling their mumper," to be on display in Baton Rouge's annual ArtMelt exhibit in the Capitol Park Museum through August.

In addition, Kelley has works from her artists books, "Chapter 4" and "Shem the Penman," and her sculptural work, "31 Sandpebble," (pictured right) displayed in the Louisiana Contemporary 2015 exhibit at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art in New Orleans until Sept. 20.
