Juried Student Exhibit Winners Announced

(April 8, 2016) McNeese State University’s Annual Juried Student Exhibition is currently on display through April 8 in the mezzanine of the Grand Gallery in the Shearman Fine Arts Center Annex.
        
Thirty-three student works from over 200 entries were selected by juror Jennifer Restauri, curator of education at the Stark Museum of Art in Orange, Texas. The show features printmaking, ceramics, bookarts, painting, drawing, foundation design, photography, graphic design and 3-D design.
        
Students selected for Merit Awards in the following areas were: Jeremy Price, Lake Charles, ceramics; Stefan Borssen, Belgrade, Maine, drawing and foundation design; Remy Miller, Lake Charles, graphic design; Alyce Gilmore, Lake Charles, painting; Sajeela Siddiq, Lake Charles, photography; and Taylor Hickey, Lake Charles; printmaking.
        
Other visual arts student who are featured in the show include: Erica Fisher, Lake Charles; Katy Geymann, Lake Charles; Jordan L. Hebert, Kinder; Linda Rae-Leigh Johnson, Eunice; Alex Landry, Lake Charles; Kelly Lavergne, Lake Charles; Alicia Leonard, Singer; Jordan Polito, Lake Charles; Colleen Stratton, Lake Charles; Waylon Thibodeaux, Longville; Sydney Thomas, Kinder; Kyle Thorne, DeRidder; Natalie Trahan, Jennings; Merele Trares, Lake Charles; Sarah Traske, Lake Charles; Debbie Wilfer, Lake Charles; and Robert Younger, Sulphur.
