Banners Presents National Works on Paper

(April 1, 2014) The 27th Annual McNeese National Works on Paper Exhibition opens Thursday, April 3, in the Grand Gallery located in the Shearman Fine Arts Annex at McNeese State University.
        
The exhibit, which runs through May 15, is sponsored by the visual arts department and is part of the 2014 McNeese Banners Cultural Series. Gallery hours are 9 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays.
        
The awards ceremony and artist reception will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 17. The reception was originally scheduled for April 10.
        
Louis Grachos, director of the Contemporary Austin, is the juror for this year's Works on Paper Exhibition. Grachos has selected 68 works from a broad national spectrum of paintings, drawings, photographs, prints and mixed media works on paper for this year's exhibition. 
        
Grachos will give a gallery talk and announce the purchase award winners at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
