Multicultural Week set at McNeese

Several activities have been planned for students, faculty and staff as part of Multicultural Week March 4-6 on the McNeese State University campus. This event is sponsored by the McNeese Multicultural Programming.

Multicultural Week is an opportunity for members of the McNeese community to share their cultures as well as to learn about the cultures of others here on campus, according to Jessica White, event coordinator. Currently, there are 315 international students representing 40 countries enrolled at McNeese.

Scheduled events include:

Monday, March 4
11 a.m.-1 p.m., Table Display and Competition, Student Union (New Ranch)
International student groups and Greek organizations will set up table displays with information about their country's culture or history of their organizations. 

Tuesday, March 5 
11 a.m.-1 p.m., Games from Around the World, Student Union Annex (Old Ranch)
Different games from around the world will be demonstrated by international students. 

Wednesday, March 6
Noon, Women's Empowerment Luncheon, La Jeunesse Room in the Student Union
Lake Charles District B City Council Vice President, Luvertha W. August, is a special guest.
