Transfer Admission Requirements

Effective Through Summer 2011

  • Must have transferable associate degree or higher from regionally accredited institution
    OR
  • 12 or more college-level (non-developmental) hours earned AND
  • 2.0 cumulative GPA (excluding developmental) AND
  • No more than one developmental course required AND
  • Eligible to return to last institution attended

Effective Fall 2011 – Summer 2012

  • Must have transferable associate degree or higher from regionally accredited institution
    OR
  • 12 or more college-level (non-developmental) hours earned AND
  • 2.0 cumulative GPA (excluding developmental) AND
  • No developmental courses required AND
  • Eligible to return to last institution attended
Transfer students with a 2.0 cumulative GPA, but less than 12 college-level hours earned, must also meet First Time Freshmen Admission Requirements.

Admission by Exception

Applicants who do not meet the minimum admission requirements can appeal for admission by exception. The number of admission exceptions is limited and changes each semester as the number of entering transfer students change. When a student applies and does not meet the admission requirements, the student is notified then of the process to appeal for admission by exception.
