Mike Connella, Ph.D. - Teaching Philosophy

My overall teaching philosophy is to make students think. I do this by presenting and showing various instrument devices in class and explaining the fundamental physical principles of how they work. Then I give real world examples of how these devices are used in everyday life and in petrochemical plants and encourage questions and critical thinking. Labs are hands-on and stress troubleshooting techniques.
