Engineering Hot-Unit

McNeese engineering and engineering technology students have the opportunity to learn on one of the few hands-on trainer chemical plant facilities on a university campus.

This model plant reproduces most of the critical processes found in the chemical industry using industrial-grade equipment, instrumentation and controls, providing cutting-edge training for students. Approximately one-third of the engineers working in the local chemical and petrochemical industry in Southwest Louisiana are McNeese graduates.
