TASC MEETING
Minutes
November 10, 2004  

Call to Order
Mark Steward called the meeting to order at 2:35P.M.   Members present were Dr. Brenda Birkett, Michael Duff, Dr. Todd Furman, Michael Graham , Dr. Debra Hollingsworth, Joshua Stewart, Mark Steward and Kirk Thibeaux. Members absent were Dwayne McCoy and Sara Royer.  Others in attendance were: Nancy Borel, Secretary; Daniel Baker; Carlos Rivero and Paul Wolfe.    

Minutes
Joshua Stewart moved to approve the October 20, 2004 TASC minutes.  Motion was seconded and passed unanimously.     

CITO Update  
Mike Graham reported to the members the savings from the bulk computer purchase made with the Colleges in the Louisiana System.  TASC purchased 157 computers with this bulk order and saved approximately $600 each for a total savings of approximately $94,000.  These 157 computers will be used to update the existing computers in Holbrook, Holbrook Ranch Expansion and the COTASCO/Technician’s Offices.  

Mike Graham will bring the Student Special Request to the November 17th meeting.  

Old Business
Mark Steward reported that he had not meet with the Senate for approval of faculty member change on TASC.  

Members are continuing discussion of the draft document for Reserve Funds. 

Members are continuing discussion of the draft document for Labs used by non-TASC students.            

New Business  
Members voted on Fall 2004 TASC proposals.
