Dr. Kalil Phillip Ieyoub

Dr. Kalil Phillip Ieyoub was born and raised in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He received a B.S. degree in Chemistry from McNeese and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Louisiana State University.

Dr. Ieyoub began his teaching career as an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at McNeese in 1966. He progressed through the academic ranks to full professor and, in 1980, became the Head of the Department of Chemistry. In 1987, he was chosen to be the Dean of the College of Science. In 1988, he became Vice President for Administration and Student Affairs.

During his tenure at McNeese, Dr. Ieyoub has served on over 100 campus and community committees. He has been recognized by several groups, including the Blue Key National Honor Fraternity, Phi Lambda Upsilon Honorary Chemical Fraternity, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, Outstanding Educators of America, and American Men and Women of Science. In 2002-03, he was chosen Outstanding Administrator by the Student Government Association.

Dr. Ieyoub has served as a consultant and expert in Chemistry for several companies and for the legal profession. He is the father of four children, all of whom have degrees from McNeese.

Mr. Toby W. Osburn

Toby Osburn has been Dean of Student Services at McNeese State University since July, 2004. As Dean he is responsible for overseeing general operations of housing and residential life, dining services, student health services, and student organizations, and is the primary administrative officer in charge of enforcing the Code of Student Conduct. Osburn serves as the faculty/staff advisor for Student Government Association, and also serves on or chairs numerous University committees.

Originally from Texas, Osburn completed his bachelor’s degree at Abilene Christian University and has obtained a master’s degree and completed doctoral coursework at the University of North Texas. His career has led him to leadership roles in several key student services functions including admissions and enrollment services, academic advising, career services, campus ministries, and student judicial services. Before coming to McNeese, Osburn served in administrative roles at Rochester College (Rochester, Michigan), North Central Texas Community College District (Gainesville, Texas), University of North Texas (Denton, Texas), and Abilene Christian University (Abilene, Texas).

Active in community life, Osburn has served in numerous volunteer and elected leadership roles including terms as a public school trustee, city mayor, and member of the board of directors of several non-profit organizations. He holds credentials as a licensed professional counselor in Texas, and is also active, along with his family, in a local church.


Ms. Olivia R. Macon

Olivia Macon has been Assistant Dean of Student Services since January 2005. As Assistant Dean she is responsible for guiding programs related to student life such as leadership development, voter registration, service learning initiatives and student organizations. The Assistant Dean will also help coordinate campus life events and administer student disciplinary actions.

Originally from Canton, Mississippi, Macon earned a master’s degree in Higher Education-Student Personnel Administration from the University of Mississippi, as well as an undergraduate in Communicative Disorders.

Prior to joining McNeese, Macon was Residence Life Coordinator at Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia. Prior to joining Columbus State, she served as a Student Services Advisor at Rust College in Holly Springs, Mississippi.
