Meet Our Staff

Ashley Bridgewater
Ashley Bridgewater, B.S. - Graduate Assistant
"I just recently moved to Lake Charles at the beginning of 2014 for graduate school from Baton Rouge where I attended Louisiana State University (LSU). I am pursuing a Master's degree in Environmental Sciences here at McNeese. In May of 2013 I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resource Ecology and Management. While attending LSU, I participated in various student organizations such as Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc., Wildlife CIub, ECOs, Black Student Union, NAACP, Ducks Unlimited, and many more. I am originally from Greensburg, LA, a small rural area. On my spare time I enjoy reading, listening to music and playing video games."

Shalin Townsend
Shalin Townsend - Lead Program Coordinator
"I am a senior Civil Engineering student, and I plan on attending grad school for Geological Engineering. I am a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., and am currently serving as President for my third consecutive year. I love being part of the Multicultural Programming Staff because I enjoy exploring other cultures. Other organizations I participate in include ASCE (Secretary), SWE, NSBE, SUB, and the NAACP. In my spare time, I love traveling, cooking, spending time with family, reading, and spoiling my dogs Missy & Levi."

Summer Anderson
Summer Anderson - Program Coordinator
"I am a junior majoring in General Agricultural, and am from central Louisiana. I am a member of the Chi Omega sorority and senator for the Student Government Association. My favorite part about McNeese is seeing school spirit throughout the campus. I'm most excited to work on Multicultural Programming staff because I want to be able to provide an opportunity for students to get involved outside of the classroom."
