Greek Week Scheduled at McNeese

Greeks in the quad(March 14, 2014) More than 400 students representing the 14 Greek sororities and fraternities on the McNeese State University campus will kick back and enjoy the activities of Greek Week March 17-21. The week's events are sponsored by the Greek Unity Board.

Greek Week kicks off at 11 a.m. Monday, March 17, in the Quad with a Fun Day that includes food, music and interactive activities.

On Tuesday, March 18, Greek representatives will help out at the Children's Museum from 3-5 p.m. as part of Community Philanthropy Day.

Students will participate in a game of friendly flag-football Wednesday, March 19, out in the Quad from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

On Thursday, March 20, Greek students will be distributing information from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Quad and New Ranch about alcohol awareness and Thursday's motivational speaker, Sarah Panzau, who is on campus as part of Alcohol Awareness Week activities also this week. Panzau is speaking about alcohol abuse at 2:30 p.m. and at 7 p.m. in the Shearman Fine Arts Theatre.

The week concludes Friday, March 21, with an awards banquet honoring the 14 Greek sororities and fraternities at 7 p.m. on the second floor club level of the Doland Field House.
