Cowboy Camp provides an opportunity for incoming students to develop a connection to the University, fellow incoming students, and current student leaders. The 2016 Cowboy Camp is August 19-20 and registration is now open.

(June 13, 2016) The 9th Anuual Cowboy Camp at McNeese State University will be held Friday and Saturday, Aug. 19-20, on campus to give the incoming freshman class and transfer students the opportunity to learn about the traditions and history of McNeese.

Cowboy Camp is a two-day program specifically designed to help students meet new people, get acquainted with the campus and its student organizations and learn about additional resources and opportunities on campus.

Participants can also move into their campus housing before other residents and participate in group competitions and exclusive tours. Over $1,000 in scholarships and prizes will be available for students to win.

The cost is $45 per student, which includes the two-day Cowboy Camp experience, four meals, two T-shirts and entry into drawings for McNeese gear and scholarships.
