Cowboy Camp Support Staff



Rangers
  • These assistant coordinators will be selected to serve as managers of various components of the Cowboy Camp schedule.
    • Each person will be assigned duties and provided with all the necessary information and resources to execute their tasks.

  • Requirements to be considered for a Ranger position are as follows:
    • Required to attend all training, preparation activities, and (select) staff meetings that take place leading up to Cowboy Camp
    • Must have at least 1 year of student leadership experience on the collegiate level
    • Must be organized and able to manage tasks effectively and independently
    • Should be in good academic and discipline standing with the University

  • Compensation
    • Rangers  will be paid up to $200 at the conclusion of Cowboy Camp for their services.

Number of positions available annually: 2-4


Rowdy Riders
  • These are returning McNeese students responsible for serving as group leaders to a designated group of Cowboy Camp participants.
    •  Rowdy Riders guide students through Cowboy Camp activities and serve as a personal resource to students in their groups.  

  • Requirements to be considered for a Rowdy Rider position are as follows:
    • Required to attend all training and preparation activities that take place leading up to Cowboy Camp
    • Should have some experience with campus involvement as a member of a student organization
    • Must be friendly, open-minded, and personable
    • Should be in good academic and discipline standing with the University

  • Compensation
    • Rowdy Riders are volunteer positions, but offer excellent leadership and professional development experience.  
    • Rowdy Riders receive perks such as Cowboy Camp shirts, an annual gift for all Rowdy Riders, and an opportunity to win up to a $300 stipend for being named "Best Rowdy Rider".

Number of positions available annually: 24-30


Logistics Personnel 
  • These are student volunteers that provide assistance with various Cowboy Camp duties.
    •  Logistics students will be assigned to shadow an administrator, assistant coordinator, or to respond to other pressing needs during the program.

  • Requirements to be considered for a Logistics position are as follows:
    • Required to attend the final staff meeting that takes place leading up to Cowboy Camp
    • Must be friendly, open-minded, and personable
    • Must be able to follow instructions effectively

  • Compensation 
    • Logistcs personnel are volunteer positons, but offer quality involvement exeperience.  
    • Logistics personnel receive Cowboy Camp shirts.
