422: Character Development - Betty Robertson, PhD

Students in four Family and Consumer Sciences courses will assist the instructor in implementing a service-learning project designed for 100 at-risk children called “Kids can make a difference.”  Each student in these courses will spend three volunteer hours implementing this program in the community (e.g., after-school programs, children’s organizations, non-profit groups that serve children, schools).  University students will conduct developmentally-appropriate activities that will help young children understand how they can make the world a better place.
