ACT
On five national test dates, McNeese State University provides the ACT to college bound students. The McNeese Code for the ACT is 1594. Registration packets can be found in the Office of Scholarships and Testing or by going to www.actstudent.org.

ACT Residual Testing for 2010
The ACT Residual Examination will be offered at McNeese State University for entering freshmen enrolling in 2010.
The scores from the ACT Residual Examination can be used only at McNeese State University; they cannot be transferred to any other university. This exam cannot be used for TOPS, NCAA eligibility, or Praxis.
The ACT Residual Examination will be administered for each semester in 2010 according to the following schedule:

Preregistration for any session listed above is not required. A limited number of test booklets are available and will be distributed on a first-come basis. The examination fee is $50.00 The test fee must be a check or money order payable to McNeese State University.
Materials:
- Picture I.D. document (driver's license or a student identification card)
- Two #2 pencils
- A non-graphing calculator for the mathematics portion is optional
Examination time is 3.5 to 4 hours:
- English (45 minutes)
- Mathematics (60 minutes)
- Reading (35 minutes)
- Science Reasoning (35 minutes)
Once the examinations have been scored, the results will be sent to Admissions and the advisors in General and Basic Studies.
A student may not repeat residual testing until sixty (60) days have passed since previous residual testing.
