Applied Behavior Analysis
McNeese State University's Master of Arts in Psychology program with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis prepares master's
level graduates to function in community settings as applied behavior analysts. It also provides the academic training necessary for
graduates to apply for national board certification in behavior analysis. Training emphasizes the development of both assessment and
intervention skills.
The student is required to complete 24 hours of core credits and 21 credit hours of ABA concentration classes for
a total of 45 credit hours. This is a nonthesis program that includes a practicum and internship. McNeese State University's
Psychology Department has many off-campus practicum and internship sites for students to gain valuable experience while completing
the Master of Arts degree. The Psychology Department also has human and animal operant lab facilities with which students can gain
experience in single-subject procedures.
