Radford Jones served with the Muncie, Ind. Police Department for 22 years. He is a drug recognition expert and has experience working vehicle and mounted patrol and on special weapons and tactics (SWAT) teams. He was also a Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) instructor and served as a school resource officer in the Muncie School District. Jones also has 19 years of service in the U. S. Air Force and is currently a Technical Sergeant/Medical Tech on reserve duty.
Jimmy Vazquez is a native of the Bronx, N.Y. and recently retired from the U.S. Marine Corps having served multiple tours of combat duty overseas. He is a recipient of the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Purple Heart and several achievement and commendation medals.
Erroll Williams Jr. graduated at the top of his class in the spring 2013 105th Academy class. The New Orleans native served as an intern in the McNeese Police Department while completing an associate of arts degree at SOWELA Technical Community College.
Keenon Joseph has law enforcement experience with the Ward 3 Marshal's Office, Lake Charles City Police and the Port of Lake Charles Harbor Police. He is certified to teach a specialized Incident Response to Terrorist Bombing course that provides first resonders with a plan of action following a critical incident.
Vazquez, Williams and Joseph completed 320 hours of instruction in all phases of basic law enforcement and Jones completed a refresher course of 90 hours of instruction. All four officers passed the Louisiana Peace Officer Standard Testing (POST) exam and are now certified as Basic Peace Officers.
The Calcasieu Parish Regional Law Enforcement Training Academy is located in Lake Charles, La. And provides accredited training for law enforcement agencies in southwest Louisiana. It was established in 1974 and is administered by Calcasieu Parish Sheriff Tony Mancuso
