Decal

Attempting to falsify commuter hang tags falls under the Student Conduct Code 3.15 " Forgery, alteration or misuse of any University document ".

If a student is found in possession of a misused decal the McNeese Police Department will do the following:

  1. Immobilize the vehicle.
  2. Issue citations for : M-2 Other (Misuse $50 violation), P-11 (Removal of immobilizer $25 charge), and others depending on the circumstances.
  3. Have the student pay all fines owed at Smith Hall.
  4. Notify Student Services so sanctions can be made.
  5. Notify the Student that his/her parking privileges have been revoked for the rest of their academic career.
  6. Issue a freshman decal punched for stadium parking.

The following are examples of misused decals:

  • A student peels off a current valid parking renewal sticker and places it on another decal.
  • A student in possession of a decal reported stolen or not registered.
  • A student counterfeits a decal with a or color copier or scanner.
  • Attempting to alter the appearance of a decal, either by coloring or changing the number (we've seen it all).
