McNeese Junior Recital Set

(April 19, Andrew Steiner2017) The McNeese State University Department of Performing Arts will present a free junior piano recital by Andrew Steiner of Lake Charles at 7 p.m. Monday, April 24, in Tritico Theatre in the Shearman Fine Arts Annex.

Steiner, a piano performance major, will perform works from three composers: “Liebesträume No. 3” by Franz Liszt; “Piano Sonata No. 7 in D Major, Op. 10, No. 3” by Ludwig van Beethoven; and “Danzas Argentinas, Op. 2” by Alberto Ginastera.

He graduated from McNeese in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in English literature and returned to McNeese to pursue a bachelor’s degree in music in 2014.

At McNeese, Steiner has received several departmental service awards for accompanying the Chamber Singers and Concert Chorale, and he has performed with the McNeese Wind Symphony. He is the recipient of the Audrey F. Helms Memorial Music Scholarship.
