Senior Clarinet Recital

(February 16, 2017) The McNeese State University Department of Performing Arts will present a free senior clarinet recital by Jamie Beaulieu of Orangefield, Texas, at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, in Tritico Theatre in the Shearman Fine Arts Annex.

Beaulieu will perform the works of a variety of composers: “Concertino” by Giuseppe Tartini; “Concerto in A major, K.622” by W.A. Mozart; “Sonata” by Paul Hindemith; “Le Petit Duo” by David DeBoor Canfield; “Sonata No.1, Op.120” by Johannes Brahms; “Aira” by Eugène Bozza; and “A Short Lecture on the Clarinet” by William Bolcom.
She will be accompanied by Dr. Christy Corley on piano and assisted on alto saxophone by Nicholas Bedwell.

At McNeese, Beaulieu, a music performance major, is a member of the Pride of McNeese Marching Band, the Wind Symphony, Basketball Band and Clarinet Choir. She was also selected to perform with the 2017 Louisiana Intercollegiate Honor Band.
