| ...a fistful of notes in every bite. Since its inception in 1995, PASTICHE has been acclaimed for its talent and polish, and its intriguing and collaborative programming. Actively involved in expanding the repertoire through their transcriptions and commissioning of new works, PASTICHE exhibits fascinating and creative interplay between its members. Five virtuoso artists make up this whimsical quintet, so richly textured in sound. They are Jan Fillmore Scott, clarinet; David Scott, trumpet; Fred Sahlmann and Lina Morita, piano; and Lonny Benoit, percussion. All are faculty members at McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The recipient of many performance and commissioning endowments, PASTICHE has collaborated in several multi-media events, and records with INNOVA and Centaur records. Equally at home in community concert, university and festival settings, PASTICHE leaves audiences "still applauding long after the performance". |
