| How to Configure your Win2000 PC Dialup Connection |
| 1. From your desktop click on Start and then Settings. |
| 2. Highlight Network & Dialup Settings and then click on "Make a New Connection" and
then click Next. |
| 3. Choose Dial-up to the Internet |
| 4. Click on "I want to setup my Internet connection manually" and click Next. In the
next screen make sure that "I connect through a phone line and a modem and then click
Next. |
| 5. Enter the area code and dialup number that corresponds to your location and
uncheck "Use area code and dialing properties" by clicking in the square next to that
option. |
| 6. Click on the Advanced button and then click the Addresses tab. Make sure there is a
dot beside "Always use the following" under DNS server address. Enter the following
numbers: Primary DNS as 208.229.28.10 and the Alternate DNS as 198.6.1.1. Click Ok
and then click Next. |
| 7. Enter the login/username and password you were given by McNeese when you
signed up for service. (Note: All information is case sensitive), click on Next. |
| 8. Enter the name of the Connection as StructureX and click Next. |
| 9. now be prompted to Set Up Your Internet Mail Account now, click on the radio button
next to No and consult the McNeese Mail information at http://www.mcneesemail.net for
information on configuring your McNeese Mail Account. |
